The War Memorial has a great setting in the centre of town, flanked by the Art Gallery and Museum. It is an ideal facility for special events.

There is so much to offer here. Each of the different areas has its own special vibe. My favourite would have to be the Pioneer Room with it's crazy brick wall.

This place is so quiet, you might pass it by. It's across from the Whanganui Regional Museum. Its exterior is an international style mesh of whiteness. Inside is a place of peace with various memorials and stained glass. You may only spend a few minutes...More

If you have been to the museum, why not carry on and visit the Centre? It is worth a visit. I have been to many functions here over the years and it has a good 'feel' about it.

Great venue for many Whanganui functions with some interesting features on all levels. Toilets don't always smell great, musty which is a shame. Staff are always friendly.

An interesting memorial practically right in the town centre on St Hill St with a great view overlooking the town, sports oval and velodrome. It overlooks Cooks Gardens as well. There is an old wooden tower also which is obviously prone to earthquake damage and...More

This is an amazing venue for any celebration, meeting, expo's, conferences. It also has a great story about how it was built. They have an awesome team that are more than happy to talk to you about it.
