Here you can watch as a true artist works with his chosen medium - glass. You can also buy directly from his workspace on an honour system, or through the store that sells his wares as well as other artists. Beautiful!

All the artists are so friendly and even when they're concentrating on creating a masterpiece they welcome any questions. Ive never felt pressure to buy

No visit to Whangarei is complete without going to Burning Issues. I'm a fan for glass, which is here in splendid abundance, but there are ceramics, sculpture, jewellery and more. Highly recommended

We came to the Town Basin as we were passing through and one of our young teens noticed that the glass blower was working on this Sunday afternoon. Our young teens were entranced. We came away with several purchases.

really exciting pieces, a world of knowledge and great enthusiasm. New things to admire every time you get there. If you like to spend a little extra on something really special, then take your time and and take something home.

Would recommend a visit as it displays and offers for sale unique pieces of work not available anywhere else. Very attractive and interesting pieces and reasonably priced.

Beautiful glasswork to buy in the shop but highlight is being able to actually see the glassblowers at work crafting pieces and see how it's done. I don't think that happens every day but it may do, would only take a phone call to find...More
