Do not visit Hokitika without a drive out to the Gorge. Water colour is so blue. Walk is easy and love the swing bridge.

The drive is a bit off the beaten track so when you get there and see the walk is only a 20 min return walk, we felt a bit "ripped off". Luckily it is beautiful and once you are there you are better for it....More

This was a nice walk and a fantastic view of the blue water.. I went after a storm so the water was a milky blue... still worth the visit!

Great to visit to get idea of local area. Walked as far as swing bridge which was very pleasant.Track well maintained and suitable for all ages. Good example of ferns and undergrowth of nz bush. River looked amazing nice contrast after farm land. Great little...More

We were glad that we took the extra half hour to drive here---a nice footbridge, and scenic views of beautiful blue water in the river.

Despite some rain and miserable cloud cover and being at the back end of a weather bomb in summer we still enjoyed the trip. The track is well signposted, paved, good boardwalk and another incredible swing bridge over the blue water. The native bush here...More

So easy to get to and absolutely worth it. The gorge is beautiful and a quick 10 min hike to get to, max. A must see in Hokitika.

No. A lot of natural places are free in NZ. However, they do have donation box at the entrance. Certain place are really worth to donate to them.

I am from this locAtion and was born there. Yes the colour always like this all year. Sometimes it is not as bright when it is raining but the colour is alwAys there.
