Well worth a visit. But suggest going about 20 to 30 minutes before feeding times.. Feeding times 10am, noon and 3pm. Staff and you ( if you want to ) feed the giant eels. Then you go and see the staff deliver the food to...More

Loved this place. Seeing the eels, the kiwi, learning about conservation work. I did not mind paying 24 dollars entry, as it goes to something which I want to support. I can't believe people at the same time complain about animals going extinct and having...More

Small dingy enclosures of aquatic animals... Children will love it though... Got to see 2 shy kiwi birds... Was a bit pricey for what it offers

We visited both here and Franz Josef Kiwi Experiences and this was the best by far. Great opportunity to get up close and personal with a Kiwi. Then to top it off we got to feed and pat Eels, catch and release fresh water Crayfish....More

Read a few moans about the price but we thought well worth it, quite a few activities and plenty to see. Two Kiwi rummaging around within two feet of us got us another tick in our Anzac animals to see list! Giant eels feeding, and...More

Hi Kenty, Thanks for your review, it is great that you got to tick seeing a Kiwi off your list of things to see while in NZ. We also feel $24.00 for an adult is a fair price for all that you get to see...More

We bit the bullet and paid the $24 admission each to escape the pouring rain. The eels were revolting but we did see two kiwi and they were really quite active which was better than I expected.
