Wonderful shopping experience ending in the purchase of a unique and beautiful greenstone necklace. Salesperson was fantastic, explaining the significance of each pendant's shape, details about the stone it was carved from, and the history of greenstone carving on the West Coast; all while encouraging...More

We spent a good deal of time in this nice little town wondering around and checking arts and crafts. This was the first shop we visited, and found the artwork beautiful. Then what a disappointment all the other shops we visited, clearly specializing in cheap...More

This is the place for Jade. Believe it's the biggest in NZ. Local artist. Wonderful designs, great work. From affordable to super expensive pieces which are museum quality. Go visit. It's worth the time

Beautiful Pounamu. Lovely designs but have to look around for the local Pounamu. Has jade from other parts of the world. A bit highly priced. Caters more for the tourists.

Bought 2 pieces of jade from a very well designed owner operated shop. Colin's pieces of art were exceptionally well displayed and the service from 'Mom' was informative and helpful without any pressure.

I absolutely fell in love my piece when I walked in the store. Colin is an extremely talented carver. This is definitely a destination you don't want to miss if your're in NZ south island.
