I found this store by accident. It has not been on a tour organized shop. The artist is incredible and you will find unique pieces. I walked out with a lovely PI disk mounted on driftwood. Friendly and helpful staff.
A large amount of original carvings, no mass consumerism to be found here! We were able to take our time looking around with no pressure and the woman who was there was able to talk with us about the pieces we were considering purchasing.
Excellent selection of well crafted jade presented by artists in friendly environment. Artist, Rex Scott, extremely helpful in explaining differentiation among jade and history of some of the shapes widely worn by native New Zealand Maori.
We went to this place during our visit to Hokatika.There are large number of collections and expensive also.Still very attractive .The staff is ok but you should buy some thing.Other wise no attention.Worth a visit
