Great to see these guys up and running again after the earthquakes. Tourism is the life blood of this small town so I was happy to visit and see what had happened there. New features to explore in a kayak. Great knowledge from the guides and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon out on the water with Arye, who was an awesome guide, and the Kaikoura Kayaks team. They give a quick, but very helpful run down of the kayaking basics - a great refresher for me as I had not been kayaking in over a decade, and I felt completely comfortable on the... More

This attraction came warmly recommended, and we were not disappointed one bit: PROS: - very good equipment, from the kayaks (of course), to the dry bags (for your camera), to the dry jackets. Kayaks were cleaned and didn't smell at all (which is usually the case then Kayaks didn't dry correctly). - Professional instructor: despite his look, Connor was the... More

My wife and I did a one day 'intro. to sea kayaking' course and had a superb day, helped by awesome weather, calm, friendly and knowledgeable instruction and the use of good kit and facilities. We spent the morning learning paddle strokes/ boat control and trying it all out on a well laid out course and then further out to... More

We went out with Conner and he's one of the best kayak guys I have come across. The were lots of seals, birds and just a beautiful couple of hours on water. We had no trouble driving to Kaikoura from Christchurch, took us just little over 2 hr on a dry day. Good time to visit before the crowds come... More

Thanks for your review! Conner will be very very happy to hear that! It is great you also mentioned you had no trouble getting here. State highway 1 to Christchurch is open and so is the Inland route 70. More

We were lucky enough to visit beautiful Kaikoura late December and, as the whale watch tours weren't running at this time due to the November earthquake, decided to get out onto the sea instead with Kaikoura Kayaks. We were so glad we did - although our tour took place on in pretty choppy conditions, we were exceptionally well looked after... More
