We bought mask and snorkel somewhere else and just came in to ask if theres some good snorkeling around. In the end the super friendly and relaxed owner gave us good tips and even treated our masks withe chemicals which prevented them of fogging up all the time without any charge. With that help we managed as absolute newbies to... More

As a stranger wanting to dive in Kaikoura I popped into the local shop for some local knowledge. The owner of Dive Kaikoura is Nigel and his experience and passion are second to none. How strange it is to see a dive shop owner who still goes diving in the local area. Keep up the great work Nigel.

Hi there, yesterday I had a shore dive with Nigel! As it is spring Right now in NEw Zealand the weather keeps changing like every ten minutes. So unfortunately the... More

I had a wonderful dive with Nigel. The sea live in New Zealand is amazing. There was a seal that followed us for several minutes. Kelly and Nigel have created a dive shop that is very friendly, professional and caring. Everybody who loves diving should visit them.

Very friendly bunch here at dive kaikoura. We didn't have luck with the weather but even at minimum visibility we gotta see some sealife. Nigel took good care of us, and he has some nice dry jokes to lighten the mood on the way to the sight. Very competent team with good equipment.

Great people and staff with lots of experience. The gear there was maintained and new and the price wasnt that expensive. If you are a diver hop in there and check it out... There's nothing like a dive to calm you down..

My first dive in New Zealand and had a wonderful dive. The staff at Dive Kaikoura are just great, from the first time I made contact with them right though to the end they just could not do enough. It's great that they explain that diving in Kaikoura is a totally different and unique experience so very different to the... More

Recently completed a couple of dive specialties with Nigel and the team at Dive Kaikoura and it was absolutely brilliant! The standard of instruction and instructor enthusiasm is incredibly high with a strong focus on the skills being learnt as well as recapping skills from previous dive courses. If you want to learn how to dive, learn new skills or... More

I am a newly certifiied diver, and this was my first sea/ocean dive. The visibility was not great, but after some discussion, we opted to move forward with the dive. Turned out that I was the only diver to accompany the Dive Master, Ally. She knew I was relatively new (and nervous!) and did a great job throughout the dive... More
