Most certainly worth a visit. Go in winter for maximum seal pup levels but be respectful of these young wild animals.

i can't believe we were able to get this close to the seal pups! The short bush walk (approx 5 mins) to the waterfall is enjoyable and then to finally reach it which is breathtaking in itself, but add to that seal pups playing in...More

Amazing that the seal pups are just right there and not afraid of the people wandering past. The 10 minutes to the waterfall is also really cool.

I was hoping the Seal pups would still be there in Mid October, and luckily for us we got the privilege of watching the pups play under the waterfall. One of those incredible New Zealand treasures.

Could have spent a lot longer than we had watching these wee guys!! Very easy access for people, although when you see what the pups have to traverse you will be amazed.

A chance to see fur seal pip's playing in a small waterfall and performing for camera. A different setting from the sea front and lovely to watch.

I don't believe that same walk will ever be opened again. The seals have moved from that spot and seem to be doing well. You can still see them in the area.
