We visited the WOW museum six years ago and thought it a highlight of our Nelson visit. We returned today and it was even better - the wearable arts exhibition was cleverly displayed and my husband was as interested as I was. I thought the cars were even more interesting and so beautiful - from vintage cars through classic cars... More

Spent a good couple of hours looking at the wearable art exhibition which is well presented. Added value is the classic car display in two big areas. Good cafe

Fabulous. Must not be missed even if you are not interested in fashion or cars. Don't know how but it just gets better.

It's called WoW and for good reason - WOW! An excellent car collection the likes of which you would expect to see in a city like LA or London. The wearable art collection is both beautifully presented and fascinating. Something not to miss when in Nelson.

We have visited this attraction every couple of years in the last decade. It has changed, and for the better, as the years go by but it remains a brilliant showcase for the work of many artists from many countries plus of course the cars. In the last 2 years the displays have been re-curated to, in our opinion, better... More

Some very creative and artistic wearable collection. Then the mind blowing collection of heritage cars. Ford, Chevrolet, Morris, BMW, Benz and you name it and they have it all. Some are real classic collection which you may see fit the first time. The cars are from almost all generations. I wish my son, age 7 who is crazy about cars... More

The WOW gallery and the Classic Cars Museum have little in common apart from occupying the same site and being accessed using the same entry fee, but they are well worth the visit. The WOW exhibits fairly surreal clothing designs submitted for the annual Wearable Art competition in Wellington (the competition originated in Nelson), but uses a great display of... More

This was a great find as I thoroughly enjoyed the unusual art and also the classic cars!! Nice to have two quite different exhibitions together as it caters for many people at one time !!
