We stopped in Nelson because I was cold and raining (excuse for a nice warm bed instead of camping) and were looking for things to do around town- that would be indoors. I've wanted to see the show for a long time and thought that...More

I just got home from seeing this remarkable show this evening. The theatre has been lovingly restored. The seats are comfortable. The acoustics are impressive. This is a lovely old theatre well worthy of a visit when in Nelson.

What an amazing place! Well maintained and well presented! However the staff are rude, offensive and need to learn to smile! I was trying to help my elderly friend out the door and the women standing in the entrance yelled would you hurry up please...More

When you enter the theatre, you feel this nice charm of an old building and art all over. The building itself is not big, but has a bar for drinks and snacks and a really good stage. I visited the performance Oh What A Lovely...More

We attended a locally produced 'circus performance' the only comment I could make about the venue is that the seats are not stepped so a bit hard to see from the back. The theatre itself has been very beautifully restored.
