Situated on red metal soils in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, Abbey Winery & Brewery is a boutique 'Single Estate' Winery owned and operated by the Haworth family. Abbey wines have an exclusive focus on producing smaller volumes of hand-picked ultra premium quality wine. The winery/brewery itself is a spectacular sight. Architecturally designed, this winery is our unique interpretation of a Gothic abbey.

We did our tasting while eating lunch. A rack of 4 glasses with a white, a rose, and 2 reds, which all went amazingly well with our Stuffed Phyllo Parcel and Pepperoni Piazza. Nice wines and good piazza, but the best was the mushroom stuffed...More

I’ve visited Abbey Winery on 3 seperate occasions on wine tours and enjoyed my time there every visit! The wine & food is delicious. The setting is stunning and there’s often a band playing also. I highly recommend a visit!

We took a wine tour of the area and the Abbey was the best as far as variety and taste. We were able to taste the green and yellow kiwi, and I've never had a yellow (or golden) kiwi but it was the best. Our...More

Abbey provides a very pleasant informal setting with a large range of eats and drinks and is a ideal stopover on the cycling route. The large gardens were a highlight and we found the platters tasty and very generous.
