Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The locals ask visitors to use the correct names for the site, not Nourlangie as the signs suggest. Anbangbang is a beautiful site with great walking paths, good signage and ancient Aboriginal rock art. Please abide by the signs and show respect for the traditional culture. Don't photograph certain areas as signed. The view from the lookout is awesome at sunset. Really interesting place to visit.

Anbangbang and Nourlangie are along the same trail, Nourlangie first followed by Anbangbang, great examples of rock art, you are asked not to photograph Anbangbang Gallery, after the rock art take the trail up to the lookout, amazing views, definitely worth the visit.

Anbangbang is the lower area of Nourlangie. It is easy to get to though it does involve a few steps. It is easy to see how these overhanging rocks provided much needed shelter from the elements.

This review site should be filled up with pictures from this particular rockshelter, which are currently posted in a series of other review sites on Tripadvisor. Maybe a person prom the park should reorganise all these pictures because now it is a confusing collection about what can be found where.

A short walk (but a little rocky) from the car park area brings you to the bottom part of Nourlangie mountain rock overhang which served as a shelter area. This is the area of rock paintings depicting the stories and legends which are depicted on storyboards and it is the most interesting area to visit.
