A beautiful deep canyon with spectacular views and strange beehive-like eroded structures make this surreal. It is certainly one of the highlights of a trip to these places. However beware of high temperatures as this is quite exposed. I was staying at Uluru so the driving alone took up 8 hours of the day. If I had to do it... More

An absolutely spectacular walk. The initial 'staircase' climb is hard work but so worth it. This part of the climb is really well structured with landings and we took a little break on the way up. There are even benches part way up. Once up to the top, the payoff is incredible with views in every direction, you'll just want... More

Impressive walk with fascinating landscape. The first few hundred metres is hardwork but well worth the effort

The canyon has to be seen from above to appreciate it. Walk the rim walk and look straight down from the lookout along the sheer cliffs. Totally awesome. Hold onto your kids though so they don't go too close to the edge.

I visited Kings canyon during a stay at Jalara, Uluru, and was a really fascinating experience. It was a really surprising excursion, enjoying a spectacular scenery. There is a rim walk, requiring 3-4 hours in total to visit all the possible spots. There is a loop from the parking from which there arils some deviations to visit particular spots. Take... More

The scenery here is spectacular. We only completed the creek bed walk as we were on a tight schedule so 1 hour return worked well for us. The variety of flora that exists in this canyon is unique to the area. The sheer rock walls that have been created following the erosion of the softer sandstone layers beneath makes for... More

Beautiful scenery with easy river bed walk or more strenuous rim walk. Completed both, rim walk was testing especially the beginning sections up a rocky incline but once at the top evened out and walking was pleasant. Took us 2.5hours rather than 3-4 hours suggested, and this was with lots of photo stops. Take plenty of water and attempt early... More

Beautiful, and relatively unspoilt. If you look closely, you just might see a Dingo near the southern edge of the carpark.

Stunning, fabulous scenery - you have to do the rather demanding rim walk to fully appreciate the grandeur of this natural wonder
