Looking for that shaded spot to relax and unwind? Look no further than the gardens. A wonderful spot to take the dog for a walk in the shade of the trees, with plenty of benches to rest, and eat your lunch, if you prefer.

We were driving to Melbourne and looking for a nice town to stop for lunch. The park had a nice covered eating area with lovely shade trees and plenty of seating around the outside. The toilets could have done with a clean. Lots of parking, but it was meter at $1 per hour.

Beautiful spot to stop to stretch out, It's small park just of the main street and eating areas opposites the new shopping centre & Movie theatres, parking is timed though and the council are quick on it. Looks best in warmer months.

Great place to sit and relax. Beautiful old shade trees and even a playground for the children. Ten points.

King George gardens have existed for as long as i can remember! These gardens offer beautiful big shady trees to sit under for a picnic or just a quiet time on the lawns perhaps reading a book There is a playground also for children. Definitely a great asset to the city and well placed in the heart of town.

I don't know if this was the park we looked at, we were looking for botanical gardens and never saw any mentioned in the tourist guide. I just loved looking at the Camellia trees if this was the park?

there are some lovely spots in these gardens. The playground is really popular with young kids and even though it's a relatively small park there is a sense of escaping from the noise of the CBD. The trees are huge and picturesque, maybe a even little protective. There are plenty of food spots near by where you can take some... More

Not a good place to go or to take children there as there are pedophiles that hang around this place. I was a victim of sexual assault at this place and will never go back there its a very bad place. I was looking for a job and was busting to use the toilets then was forced into the wall... More

The Gardens are a relaxing place to enjoy lunch under the trees in a beautiful setting. Nice and handy to the CBD so grab a bite and eat it in the gardens.
