Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have actively tried to have the cabins at Cultus Lake motel type accommodations added to trip advisor as there were no reviews for them from here that I could find before going, but I guess they are going to ignore my multiple requests so I will just write the review here instead.
Their website is pretty out of date and didn't have all of the information that I would have liked to have had before coming so I am going to put it all in here for anyone staying at the cabins ran by the Cultus Lake Park people. We stayed in the dogwood "cabin". They are called cabins but most are kind of like duplex motels.
I think they are the closest accommodation you could possibly have to the water park, when you step out the front door you are smack dab beside the water park. T hey ahve a picnic table in front of each cabin, and each one has its own portable bbq inside the unit that can be used out on the picnic table (we brought our own and dind't need to). You will need to bring your own propane though (but they have utensils).
The Dogwood was an accommodation for 4 so you had exactly four place settings for everything, there were 4 cups, 4 forks etc so you have to do the dishes right away if there is four of you, but that's not that big of a deal (there is a charge also if you leave dishes when checking out).
The beds were comfortable, ours had 2 singles and a double pull out couch for our kids which was great. The water park does start their shift at 8am with water compressors though to clean up the cement and some of the slide stuff so that is kind of annoying when it is on the side by the cabins certain days as it doesn't allow for much of a sleep in. Also because of the primo location you can hear lots of screams from the water park but it closes early enough that it was never bothersome and was kind of fun to listen to.
The staff at check in were excellent and I really appreciated how helpful the woman who checked me in was, and she really made me feel like I could go to the front office with any issues and they would help me out.
The shower is very small, not a lot of room to move around (in the dogwood room anyway) and the towels weren't very soft (cheap/rough). The hot water was good and the water pressure was good too. One other thing that I didn't love is that the kitchen didn't really have great lighting so it got kind of dark in there, but nothing unmanageable.
Each room had its own air conditioner sitting in the window and it wasn't too loud so you could have it on all night and it wasn't annoying. Overall I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to be SUPER close to the water park and amusement park and lake. It is an excellent location. Its not the hilton, but its better than a tent in my opinion. Stores aren't to far away to grab some groceries to last you for your stay and you have everything you need. We will be back in a few years when my daughters are old enough to enjoy more of the slides.

Sometimes a person might be looking for a quiet beach with nothing to do but gaze at a tranquil lake....try visiting Cultus Lake Park in the Spring or Fall, before the summer visitors descend there. Or maybe you prefer a more active time, which can be either of the shoulder seasons and definitely in the summer. That is prime time to get out in a kayak or canoe or even try paddle boarding - these are great individual activities and maybe even more fun with a group of friends. Any equipment you do not have can be hired right on Main beach. Sail boats, motor boats and ski dos are also popular activities, as is dragon boating but you would have to join a team to enjoy that.
If you want something other than the beach and water, then maybe a walk up Tea Pot Hill, about a two hour round trip, with a pretty view of the lake at the top, and a chance to spot tea pots. On my last visit, we spotted ten, but you really have to look hard.
Another trail is the Seven Sisters, which starts in one of the lovely Provincial Camp Grounds, dotted along the lake. A bike ride around the lake, starting in Cultus Lake Park, will take you along the lake toward Lindell Beach at the southern end. Along this route you will find a winery, and lavender fields, and blueberry farms. Try this ride in the Spring or Fall, as the traffic is heavier in the summer.
So these are the delights that await your visit - have fun and keep safe.

Cultus Lake is beautiful and fun as long as you don't have to deal with the Cultus Lake Marina. The locals and other Lake users are friendly and cooperative. Rent a paddle board or Kayak at Main Beach and avoid the Bully at the marina by Sunnyside campground.

This is on the surface, a gorgeous park and lake. Unfortunately, the local population of yahoos takes over the lake with loud, drunken powerboat and jet ski rides. While swimming, I have had power boaters dump bags of trash overboard nearby, and many times seen them use the buoys that demarcate the swimming areas, as weave poles. Several times, I've seen these idiots swamp the swimmers. You can hear the drunken loudmouth yelling throughout the park.
The water has diesel fuel on it, and the swimmers' itch is intense. This area sees 4 million guests annually, yet there is not a shower to be found on the beaches. I have scars on my legs from scratching on the way home.
Complaints to the park ranger re: the reckless power boaters yielded a flippant, "Call the RCMP." Because I am supposed to hike back up to my car for my cell phone, while the ranger stands there doing nothing about a power boat I'm pointing at.
The views are stunning, and you can have a nice hike in the woods. If you can ignore the trash the locals also dump in there. I have been here countless times, as I moved here due to Vancouver's insane house prices, and on every visit, I come across jarring signs of human carelessness and disrespect of the environment and other people. Sometimes it's an extreme incident as above, sometimes it's peacefully walking and stumbling on condoms and beer cans, broken glass, cigarette butts, or a rotting pile of trash.
Ironically, when I want to enjoy Nature, I have to drive to Langley or all the way back to Vancouver to not have to deal with the detritus of yahoos.

Cultus lake used to be a beautiful lake about 15 to 20 years ago. In recent years the park has become a tourist trap and parking is extremely limited. It is a very small lake that is polluted with lots of gross vegetation in the water and sewage runoff from nearby campgrounds/houses and not to mention all the goose crap on the beaches. Oil slicks as well from all the heavy jet ski and boat usage. Would recommend to stay away from this lake, as there is far better lakes to go to.

Used to camp at Cultus Lk years ago. It was" the" place to camp. Now with private operators you'd think it would improve. Not. Parties go on all night. When I complained and asked to see the manager, I was directed to a locked compound where the manager hangs out. Never saw him. A worker who came to the gate said he was on the phone. Returned to my camp to pack up and was told by another park ranger to " get the hell out" because it was 11 o'clock. Would have been out if I hadn't waited around for the manager. If you want to be treated badly and share everything with your neighbours GO TO CULTUS LAKE, THE RUDEST PARK IN BC

My family and I stayed at one of the cabins a few years ago and really enjoyed our stay.
This year we decided to rent a cabin here again. Sadly, I can't say we were nearly as pleased. Although the cleaning staff was in the unit cleaning for nearly 4 hours prior to our arrival, there were still dirty dishes, the floor was not swept and things were just not very well cleaned. Thankfully we were better prepared than the facilities and were able to clean up the unit ourselves. We left it in better shape than we got it, that's for sure.

There is plenty to do here in Cultus Lake, not only can you hire speedboats, Jet Skis, kayaks and other water based activities, you can also play at a decent enough golf course, visit the amusement park and also the Water Park!!
It was one of the busiest weekends, and it was fine. There were many, many families with picnics and BBQ's going.

How do review a place you live ? Of course we Love it here or we wouldn't be here. Lots of trails, beach, lake, and of course Water slides and Amusement Park. We love the nature here at Cultus. Beautiful all year round! One major tip is don't try to come on a hot summer weekend! Traffic is terrible! You could crawl for hours coming and going. The only accommodation is camping or a few cabins. All must be booked moths ahead. The Vedder River Inn down the road in Vedder Crossing is the closest motel only 8- 1p min. Away.

But very busy, and change rooms badly on need of cleaning and sprucing up. Not sure if it's the time of day we came too, but quite a bit of garbage around also. Still, very lovely place to spend some time.

Is it possible to rent a row boat for two people in the afternoon of July 27, 2015 (a Monday)? If so what is the cost for 2 or 3 hours & we already have approved, new life jackets? If reserving a rowboat is not feasible -- what guided boats & there costs are available?
