Long coastal area which I suspect is better at other times. This season there were large volumes of seaweed washing in every night. Some of it was being buried by locals. Some of it was breaking down at shoreline causing the water to be very...More

We went and it there was so much seaweed we had to leave and not go swimming. I wish I could say better things but it might not be a great time of year.

We went swimming in this bay and had a great time. There is some seaweed at first so we used water shoes but once you get a few meters out there's no seaweed. This is a eco-protected bay so there's no boats/motors allowed. As such,...More

Staying on the bay for a month was very relaxing and beautiful experience for us. There was a natural cenote nearby out in the bay you could swim to and snorkle. Very unique.

Far from the huge usual condominiums of the Riviera Maya! Absolutely beautiful and preserved! Houses to rent around are a great option for getting a central position to access the ruins of Tulum and Coba, all the major cenotes (including the outstanding Casa Cenote, at...More
