This small campsite has really basic showers, just two that never provide warm water even when the sun is shining brightly. We stayed here so that we could take the sunset cruise onto Lake Argyll to see the water birds and animal life, mainly crocodiles....More

The positives: friendly staff, fish & chips (even though it was catfish), free talk on history of the place. The negatives: tours much too expensive, cold showers. Rather stay at the Keep River NP and do a day trip here to catch the 3pm talk.

The campground is fine but don't bother doing the wetland cruise unless you are interested in hearing a misogynistic racist rant. The sunset was of course spectacular but Kim's attitude to women and indigenous people was appalling. He didn't give any information about the bird...More

Beyond description. Kim and Ruth have a passion that transcends economics and takes one back to what is important. Realisation that we haven't lost our souls, merely lost touch with them. The camp is basic, but the cost is also basic. The scones are divine...More

Firstly let me say, this place is not for people who like to stay at the Hilton. This is a mine site with a bush camping. But don’t let that put you off, it is a little slice of paradise. This Mum and Dad mining...More

Yes, I believe that you can book ahead for this site and it is advisable to do so between May and October. I have no idea if they are currently offering any deals - best to email them to find out.
