Not the most enjoyable drive on this road, and as it was the only route we could take we just knuckled down and got on with it. Great for the more adventurous drivers.

This road is much rougher than the Gibb River Rd. but the scenery is amazing as it changes as you get onto the Plateau and into the Livistonia Palm forest, a must as you are travelling through the Kimberleys.

Well it was certainly an experience!!! Talk about rough, looks sort of flat and smooth until you find the corrugations, pot holes dips etc. Make sure you have your vehicle on good shape and check it regularly, secure those loose and breakable items or they...More

some of the road was graded and this only made the rest seem worse The later in the season you travel the worse it will get and the last 15 kl into Kalumburu was the worst.
