Great quiet beach.

Uncrowded beach. Has a barrier in place for stingers. Swam at the beach once with no problems. Warm water. Absolutely stunning setting as good as Thailand.

Palm cove! What can I say It is a gorgeous stretch of beach When we went it was lovely and fairly quiet The weather was fabulous and very relaxing It is easy to get around without a car and an abundance of accommodation and some great coffee/ breakfast options. This a nice quite beach about 30 km (18 miles) from Cairns. You can get there with the public bus or rent a car and drive there. The water is warm, the beach has a netted patrolled area, which is important during the summer months dew to the stinging jellyfish and crocs. There is plenty of shade and quite a... More

Unlike Port Douglas this is a more boutique beach. Not too busy...just perfect ! The little restaurants along the beach are wonderful as well.

We preferred this location over Port Douglas as it was quieter and not so many commercial or bar facilities. The reason being we come away to escape the city life, and chill. And you don't need a car to get around, unlike Port Douglas if you stay a little out of the centre. And it's closer to the airport, if... More

Beautiful beach. The water is like bath water, so warm. The sand is clean and the facilities are close by and lovely.

As we had previously visited Palm Cove earlier this year on a day excursion, we did make it back and stopped in the Palm Cove area for five days recently. We were able to take in the sights and the beauty of the Palm Cove area and the interesting restaurants and cafes along the beachfront esplanade. It is less crowded... More
