Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Probably the best thing and feeling in my life. It was on my bucket list but it was completely out of my comfort zone and I absolutely dreaded it beforehand. I, like so many, usually don't go to the effort of leaving a review but my experience with Waretini was so positive that I told him I'd leave a review so I don't want to break my word. He was spectacular. He was very skilful at talking to me beforehand. Didn't say too much and at the same time didn't say too little. From my group of friends, we all agreed that us that had Waretini definitely had the best experience. I was 1st out of the plane and still the last to land. He didn't rush and gave a decent amount of time to chill and take it all in. He also gave me the parachute myself to navigate myself after the freefall which was so amazing. I've watched the video over and over and would really recommend getting the 360° video.
A very big thanks to the shuttle bus driver that picked us up at Airlie Beach that morning. I definitely owe him for his interactions. He made a very big effort with us and everything he said reassured me and made me instantly calm. It was class. Sorry, I don't remember his name but he's currently training himself and he had about shoulder length hair.
Many many thanks,
Muireann

I had an amazing experience with Airlie Beach Skydivers! Ben was a terrific instructor and I felt very safe in his capable hands! He pointed out some landmarks to me on the flight up and ensured I knew what was happening every step of the way. Would 100% do this again - I recommend the beach landing!

Absolutely terrifying experience however the divers make you feel as relaxed as possible beforehand.
Particularly my instructor - Jayden. He explained everything beforehand, told me how to jump safely and about how were attached.
Great experience and will definitely be doing another

Unfortunately, it wasn't what we expected. Instead of the promised 4250m and 45 seconds of free fall, we only got 24 seconds. The employees wanted to tell me that we were at 14,000 feet, but just before the jump I was able to take a look at the instructor's altitude clock and it said about 8,000 feet. I think they just want to please as many tourists as possible in the simplest and most efficient way possible, which is a shame!
There is also a deduction for the videos. $159 for poor quality and simple/unloving background music. Absolute rip-off...
If you have the opportunity to do your skydive somewhere else, I would highly recommend it!

Loved the actual skydive and the views were stunning, wasn’t too much waiting around which was nice aswell. Some of my group bought the picture and video package and the files were received less than 24hrs after the jump and photos and videos are great. However there are a couple of things worth mentioning. All members of my party were pestered by email, texts and calls to move our slot to earlier in the day and not given a decent reason why. We declined and kept the original and later figured out they wanted us done earlier so they could go on a night out. As stated in another review we also expected the skydive to be near Airlie beach when actually it was a good 1hr long bus ride to a location further down the coast. On arrival we were asked about any medical issues to which a lady mentioned she takes some medication and she was awkwardly pressured to disclose this in front of everyone. We also weren’t given any kind of standardised safety briefing and the instructors gave different information to different people. When we had finished the jump some of the instructors asked us for a detour so they could pick up some things from their house and then go to the gym, we felt pressured to just agree when really this made our journey longer and we were all tired. Overall the actual skydive itself was great and the views stunning but the general professionalism of the crew was lacking (one was wearing a T-shirt that said “sit on my face”). It is a decent cheaper alternative to the actual Airlie beach skydive and you will enjoy it regardless

This was a special birthday gift to three girls. Excitement was high. The briefing was to the point and kept it simple. Then we were in the plane and gaining altitude. The views from the plane were impressive as you climb. Then all the gear is checked, legs swing out and you are off. The tandem instructors were very skilled and into the jump, making the video much more memorable. We highly recommend the experience of jumping and landing on the beach as the views coming down were spectacular. We say a big thank you to Airlie Beach Skydivers!

It was very professionally organized and I felt comfortable the whole time. The guides calmly explains the steps for you and my experience was wonderful. I wasn’t scared for a second thanks to my instructor Bayley whom was very professional, he was very friendly and funny as well. The view for the skydive was amazing. I would definitely do it again with them.

Friendly and professional company can’t recommend this place enough.
We paid for videos and pictures which we received while we were still with the group, even though we were told they could take up to 48 hours.
We were the first pair to sky dive, we then watched another pair and then the company dropped us to the pub for 1 hour and then brought us back to watch the last group sky dive.
The complimentary transfers were great.

Very disappointing!!
When we hopped on the bus in Arlie Beach we thought we were going to a near by destination to jump, however beware you have a 50 minute drive to Midge point where they have a tiny plane that can only take up one couple at a time. To cut a long story short one couple jumped then they delayed for 1 hour due to weather and then decided to call it off for the day wasting most of our day. We rebooked for the next day being told the weather was good only to get a phone call to say they were calling it off again due to the tides and weather. Seriously the tides times do not change. Think twice about booking through these guys!!

Can I take my own Go Pro to record the skydive?
Written 19 December 2017
No. It’s $129 for photos and video but if you say no and go to the sky dive location they will do it for $99 however we didn’t get the sky dive we paid for so go elsewhere

What view do you get on this skydive? I've read reviews on another site that say the drop zone is really far from Airlie Beach and all you see is fields? However, some people say the views are amazing? Do i need to pay for the beach landing in order to get a good view?
