We had such an amazing day on this wonderful boat tour. The communication with Tam re. booking were seamless and on the day, Dale went out of his way to make the experience special.

Highlight of day was being taken to our own PRIVATE ISLAND 🌴 🏖 which was just beyond amazing.

What’s more this tour is an absolute bargain. There is simply nowhere else offering a private tour of the whitsundays for this price.

Dale and Tam are lovely people and really understand hospitality and customer service. Fully deserving of their 5 star rating.

I had the wonderful opportunity to propose to my long-term girlfriend during our trip with Airlie Beach Day Sailing, and I can't thank Tam and Dale enough for the incredible day we had. A truly special trip with loads of wonderful memories; we've told all our friends, and we can't recommend Airlie Beach Day Sailing highly enough :)

We'd planned the trip several weeks in advance, and Tam and Dale were so incredibly supportive, recommending catering options (more on that later), destinations, and making sure everything went smoothly. Tam even organised a bouquet of Juno's favourite flowers. Dale was 'in on it' from the get go and super enthusiastic to help, and together over the phone we concocted a plan for a surprise beach proposal.

It was a partially-rainy day when we arrived, but that made the experience more interesting, sailing around the edges of rainclouds and seeing sheets of rain in the distance. 'Amadeus' is luxurious and well-fitted out, and made for wonderfully smooth sailing. Dale plied us with tea and coffee, I steered the boat for a while, and we had a lovely time chatting and getting to know each other as we left the bay.

Our first stop was to Nara Inlet where a short walk uphill reaches 9000-year-old indigenous rock paintings and a great view. When we returned down the clouds were approaching, so we skirted around it and headed for secluded Curlew Beach, where our plan would be put into motion!

When our dinghy touched down on Curlew Beach, Dale encouraged the two of us to go up the beach whilst he (ostensibly) set up the picnic. He actually used the time to half-bury a box of photos in the sand, then conceal himself out of sight on the shore! Juno and I walked back down the beach, where she stumbled across the box. She opened it, I dropped the knee, and she said yes! Dale caught the whole proposal on camera, and afterwards came out to congratulate us. He then left us the beach to ourselves, to enjoy champagne and Anna's picnic, which he'd set up beautifully with flowers and glassware.

After an hour and a bit the rainclouds started to approach, so Dale returned to pick us up and start the leisurely trip back to the marina. On the way back, the skies finally opened and we all got thoroughly drenched! It was a lot of fun, and any cold was thoroughly sorted by Dale's cups of hot tea.

To sum up, this was hands-down the best day trip I've ever been on; every aspect was thoughtfully taken care of, and the spots we visited were stunning. Dale is kind, super friendly, and full of wonderful stories, and he went so far above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. Thanks Tam and Dale, for an incredible start to engaged life! :D

My wife and I recently spent 4 days at Airlie Beach. We had looked ahead of time for a low capacity day sail and came across Airlie Beach Day Sailing. After pricing a shared sail and the price for a private sail with Airlie Beach Day Sailing, we decided to treat ourselves to the private sail. In the grand scheme of things, it wasn't that much more expensive.

Email instructions from Tam were timely and clear. It's BYO food and drinks, but, we were provided with instructions for ordering from BWS and several options for ordering food. We chose a cold seafood platter (more on that later) from Fishi. Our drinks and food were all picked up for us and waiting, chilled on board when we arrived.

We met Dale at the marina and we were off. Amadeus is a great boat and we were able to wander and enjoy the day from anywhere. I think Amadeus would comfortably fit 8 for shared sailing. Dale was fantastic....friendly, professional and great to talk to, but, also gave you your space.

We sailed/motored to Hook Island where Dale promised a private beach for a swim and lunch. He didn't disappoint. Dale motored us in and dropped us off with food and drinks and left us to radio him when we were ready for a pick up. We tucked into Champagne and seafood. The seafood platter for 2 was from Fishi. It was amazing....tons of oysters, bugs, smoked salmon and prawns. All packed in ice so cold and fresh. We ended up taking lots back to our hotel for dinner that night. Highly recommended. We were having such a relaxing time....me exploring the beach and my wife floating on the unicorn, that we worked our way through the grog we had brought to shore. Quick radio call out to Dale, and he was there with a restock!

The sail/motor home was relaxing. Dale taught me a bit about the boat and sailing which I loved. Our day started just after 8am and finished about 4pm.

All in all, a magical day. Highly recommended.

Amazing, one of the best days of our lives and super recommended for families. We were looking to do sailing with our small kids (5 years and 18 months). We did it privately so we were the only ones in the boat with Dale and they hired someone to look after the kids. Dale provide an amazing tour. Everything was perfect from the beginning. We went to a private beach to have lunch and also did snorkelling.

Dale was very helpful and supportive.

We had such a beautiful private tour out to Hook island! Everything was very organised and Dale ensured we had everything we needed to snorkel during Jelly season! Highlights also included walking on Hook’s coral beach and bathing in the waterfall!
Dale nailed it! A must do.
