We only found out when we got there that it is quite damaged from cyclone so don't expect to swim there any time soon.

This is a safe place to swim for children. There aren't any stingers. The lagoon is across from the ocean. My visit was before the cyclone. I don't know if there was any damage to the lagoon.

Beautiful spot to swim safely for young & old! A separate littlies area, playground, life guards & the most amazing view! Love it here!

This lagoon is well kept and spacious, clean and well staffed with lifeguards on duty. There are plenty of spots to throw a towel down and soak up some NQ sunshine.

A nice alternative to swimming in the ocean on days where the ocean is not safe to swim. Really neat concept, like a big resort right in town. Nice picnic areas. Close to grocery store and shops. Enjoyed relaxing in and next to the Lagoon!

The lagoon was beautiful and was a great place to go for a swim and relax. Would be a great place for kids. The view over the bay was lovely.

We visited the lagoon every single day we were at Airlie, it's the perfect spot to relax, particularly when it's so hot!

Our 21 year old is in a wheelchair, can transfer into normal seating (table seating and vehicle seating etc. Do you have Beach access chairs to travel to the beach water available? Do we need to book a chair? Our arrival date is 13/04/2015 Thank you for your assistance Kevin Sharp
