You can spend two or three hours here. Lots about the town’s history, railways, police, etc. Something for everyone. Some of the displays are cluttered and lack labelling - work in progress! Volunteers very helpful with loads of information. Definitely worth a visit.

The museum is in the Main Street . They have a collection of how Port Pirie began and what life was like. You can see the old police station, customs house and a camera display. I found it interesting .

In original railway station buildings, the museum provides a wonderful insight to Port Pirie's history and the role it played in the mining business. The volunteers that work there are informative, friendly and willing to provide a lot of information about the town.
