The photo says it all, beautiful beach, protected northerly aspect with year round sunshine and protected from large swells.

I love this area. This to me is what the Gold Coast used to be before it became so commercial. Great beach, dinner at the surf club, warm weather. The Sunshine Coast is worth the time to visit.

Beautiful people. A quiet surf beachside location. So much cheaper than Byron or Manly. A more grown up vibe than Byron and a less pretentious side than Bondi or Manly. Still with a cruisy feel of being a bit arty and free spirited. Loads of...More

I’m from Hawaii and we have amazing beaches but this one is huge, offering a long stretch of sand and sea. There are good and clean facilities, well marked safety signs and flags, and life guards. Surfing beaches are clearly separated from ‘bathing’ (swimming) beaches....More

Just about the best beach on the Sunshine Coast - it is clean, well kept and just delightful. Bustling, busy. An early morning walk around 6am from the 'Loo with a View' to Point Cartwright is magnificent. Then a swim in the cool - usually...More

The best part about this beach is it’s not overly crowded all the time. The water is clean and the beach is also kept very clean. There are a lot of spots out of the way where you can go and sit. Close to cafes...More

Pretty good spot, was expecting to see more waves, but maybe with the wind, swell wasn't the best. easy access to restaurants, and isnt too busy (maybe in the day we went), but good, will go more often.

We loved just sitting on the beach and just watching the waves roll in. Very relaxing and therapeutic.

A great place to swim and use all kinds of watercraft. The town of Mooloolaba is close by for food and drinks. The beach is patrolled and there’s plenty of space

No you won't be able too bring your own barby. Best to have some kind soul go and claim a vacant one, if there is one, at around 3pm. You could also try the river front at Cotton Tree, there are a few more there. Or... More
