Trinity Beach is a goo beach for swimming and water sports. The mornings are best as the sea is calmer. It can get rough and windy though

Looks really great from the pictures but unfortunately spoilt by the large numbers of loose dogs doing what they do best. Did ask (politely) locals several times to pick up the dog poo but all I got was abusive replies. Shame really. Public bus service is very good to all northern beaches. Half price for Gold Card users. The beach... More

Trinity Beach is a great place to stay. Quiet, but a short drive to all the big attractions. You definitely need a car if you stay in Trinity Beach (although there is a bus service available between Cairns and Port Douglas). Pub and some really nice restaurants, great beach. No where as busy as Port Douglas and Palm Cove. A... More

We got the 111 bus from centra cairns bus station, it was just $9 for a return and a 45 min journey. Gorgeous beach and there is a swimming area with nets, however I wouldn't advise swimming oct-Feb due to stingers (deadly jelly fish). Crocs can also be common in these waters so be careful. We had a lovely picnic... More

Just spent a week at Trinity Beach. Great quite spot. Esplanade beautifully planted and boardwalk very pretty. Beautiful sunset and sunrise vistas. Nice beachfront restaurants. Tavern very popular. Shopping centre further out covers most shoppers. The rebuild of the grill buildings will be very handy again for we tourists. Locals very friendly.

We live locally and enjoy meals out at the restaurants along the beach. A great landscaping works by the Cairns City Council along the beachfront. Many tourists from the resorts seem to enjoy the golden sands of the beach.

We travelled by car for the day to Trinity beach but could have spent many hours just relaxing. There is plenty to do if aquatic activities are on your list of things to do. We chose as an older couple to get an overall taste for the whole area rather than localize our itineries.

You beaut spot for Saturday or Sunday lunch. Half a dozen eateries from large corporate to small owner operated. All good value for what they offer. One key site at the esplanade main junction is currently under complete redevelopment but that shouldn't put you off. Lots of reasonable short and long term accommodation across the spectrum. Same beach conditions as... More

Lovely path going the length the beach, gorgeous shade trees on the beachfront for afternoon shade, great swimming (no stingers in October). Loved it, a small, hidden treasure!
