well worth a visit to see how this homestead was brought back from rack and ruin to display the importance of cultural heritage and the stories of the people and families who passed thru there.

Glengallan is a heritage-listed, partially restored homestead that has strong associations with the history and pastoral development of the Darling Downs, being the first Darling Downs merino sheep run and more.

We were so disappointed (especially after having to pay $10 each) to see this beautiful old mansion in such disrepair. The place is still literally falling apart.

An interesting look at our colonial past and how the rich lived. The house itself is very interesting alone but the stories and embelishments added by the volunteers makes it so much more.

Fascinating insight into earlier and more prosperous days for this home. Crying shame that it was left to ruin for 40 years.
