The Riesling Trail is a great way to get outdoors and explore the Clare Valley. You get to visit wineries, see wildlife and native fauna and eat well. Some Wineries will actually deliver your wine purchases back to your accomodation if you are nice.

We were there during the week and were surprised at how much was closed. If there are places you really want to visit I'd ring to confirm. We also found that advertised times were'nt 100% reliable.

We stayed at clarevale b&b which was great and a couple of hundred metres from trail. Otherwise we cycled past a couple of places on track. Clare gives you the best range of dining options, supermarkets, pubs etc
