A grey dull day with moderate swell suddenly became a lot more fun and exciting as the waves hit the rocks and the blowhole exploded with huge spouts of water - awesome.

Lots to explore and good photo opportunity. Worth stopping at regardless of age. We saw plenty of sea life.

Easy access from the coastal walk. Enjoy the all day long water show. Prepare some extra clothing in case you want to get up close.

Fun to wait and watch this natural formation. We spent 15 min climbing the rocks and watching the water rise up.

The blowhole is a great natural attraction, with access a short walk across the rocks. The waves get quite large and the blowhole puts on a great display

driving through Bicheno we decided to stop and have a look. So glad we did. Took so many amazing and unique photos of the huge swell and the orange coloured surrounding rocks. A highlight in Bicheno. Don't miss it.

No, sorry. They're a good few hours apart. Bicheno is up the east coast and Tasman Arch is on the peninsula in the other direction, toward Port Arthur.
