    Hike2Camp Great Ocean Walk
We have just completed the Great Ocean Walk with Hike2Camp, run by Wilson Bath. The forests and coastline were stunning. Wilson’s management of the camping for our six day walk was excellent, and his morning briefings before we started walking were delightful, and thorough. Sharing the experience of completing the challenging walk through the unique Cape Otway with the ten other members of our group was an unexpected joy. We highly recommend Hike2Camp for the Great Ocean Walk.

    Hike 2 Camp
A group of 6 friends have just completed the Great Ocean Walk, doing 110kms all up. We decided to do it through a company called Hike2Camp, and they were fantastic and we highly recommend! It was a 6 day and 5 night experience, with 3 nights camping in tents and 2 nights in a hostel. Hike2Camp provided all of the equipment and food, setting up our tents every night and packing them up the next day. We were briefed each morning of the day ahead by the lovely Wilson and Alan, and then we made our way approx 20kms each day. Just wonderful!

    Fantastic Experience
My wife and I originally planned this trip in 2020, but Covid got in the way. As we live in the UK it took a while before we could rearrange. During this time, Wilson Bath (owner of Hike2Camp) was excellent with his communication. We did the walk in March and this proved to be an excellent month - not too hot, too cold or too wet! The walk started at 7am on Sunday morning when Alan met us in Apollo Bay and handed over a map, poncho, first aid kit, transponder, lunch and a HUGE bag of snacks. After that, we were on our way. You can choose your own pace and whether to walk alone or with others. Navigation is fairly simple. This walk turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. The organisation of Wilson & Alan was first class. Every dietary wish was catered for and it was impossible to go hungry. The scenery was varied and superb, including most of the wildlife that we had expected. Wilson puts the tents up at the campground, takes them down the next morning and transports luggage from camp to camp. All we needed to carry was a small day pack. There was a briefing every morning, lunch was issued and we were able to top up our snack bag. Then we were on our way. Day 4 of the 6-day itinerary is the hardest day, but if you are reasonable walking fit you will be OK. We still finished by 3pm and Wilson was on hand to transport us to the hostel at Princetown where we stayed for 2 nights. On reflection, the GOW with Hike2Camp was an excellent choice of activity. We are so glad that we experienced it. Thank you, Wilson and Alan!

Amazing experience! We covered the ~100kms over 5 days. If you only have one day and can cover about 20 kms I highly recommend our 4 th segment, which is Melanesia Beach to the Gables Look out. We shuttled in and out with cars at the beginning and end of each day, but the camp sites we saw along the way makes me want to go back and camp out.

Reserve this hike on your bucket list!

There are many options to complete the roughly 100klm walk.
We condensed our end to end hiking & camping into 4 nights, 5 days.
It is achievable for amateur hikers who don't mind carrying a load & not showering.

Alternatively the hike can be broken into segments, with optional stays at accommodation & shuttle services.

There is something for everyone to enjoy: history; Australian fauna & nature; escarpment, beach & rainforest walking & views.

Camp sites are really cheap & well located. The hike in sites reward your efforts offering distinct, autonomous facilities.

The tracks are well maintained. Parks Victoria also provided friendly and flexible booking services.

This walk easily sits on the international hiking stage.

We did a private 2 day tour, but our guide did actually take us on short section of the walk. It seems very well kept and looked after, and the walkers saw on the walk looked like they were having a whale of a time. And speaking of whales......we spotted 2 whales playing just off the coast of Lorne. Lovely to see this magnificient creatures in their natural habitat.

Highly recommend Hike2Camp for the 'great' walk along the ocean. No need to leave the track, camp by the ocean with spectacular views and nothing to do but enjoy dinner with plenty of food, hot drinks and treats - and koalas in the trees above! There were 12 of us (6 couples in our 60s/70s) - nothing was too much trouble for Wilson and William!! Thank you so much. It was such fun and a week to remember. Highly recommend.

Just finished the 6 day - 100km hike from Apollo Bay to 12 Apostles with Hike2camp. They set up camp for us each day, provided food, water & snacks. Also gave us daily briefing, maps, safety beacon and first aid kits. Wilson & Jean were fabulous & I recommend them - such an easy way to hike.

It goes without saying this coastline is stunning. Such diverse country, so much wildlife. It was a privilege to experience.

We just completed the Hike2Camp Great Ocean Walk 6 Day.
The weather was woeful with all the rain, but the walk was amazing. There was plenty of mud and at times the treks seemed really hard, but so glad we did it and completed it.
Wilson who runs Hike2Camp is brilliant and very passionate about the area. Allen was also brilliant and passionate which made it all the more enjoyable.
Meals and snacks are plentiful, you never go hungry. Tasty as well!
Highly recommend this walk and business - Hike2Camp.
Will definitely do again when the weather improves and enjoy the scenery from a different perspective.
