Nice bar, great location
Mar 2019 • Friends
Nice bar that sells reasonably priced, iced pot beers etc. Seated outdoor space looking out over the sea.

just love this place!
Feb 2019 • Couples
The Anglers Club is a little gem next to the Lorne pier, so relaxed and casual, you drop in for cold drink with friends or during a walk, it is a place where locals and regulars meet and catch up. It is a property that sits on its own next to the walking path from the Lorne beach to the jetty. People rest their bicycles against the low cyclone fence (or tether their dogs). Established as a club in 1960, this place has been kept as a club and pretty much in original condition and has not been taken over and commercialised. It has one of the best views in Lorne and you cannot help but relax and unwind in this place. People of all ages wander in. A great place to stop and have a beer or wine, take in the view, and then continue on your way!

COFFEE
Apr 2018
Our favourite breakfast destination for a walk. Just under 3K from our little place in Lorne. We walk our dog there when we can in a weekend to have Jason's great coffee and Muslim with fruit. To sit on the balcony at the end of the pier with the fantastic view Early morning is a world beater. We are members there also.

Great Coffee & Beautiful View
Jan 2018 • Friends
The addition of a coffee stall at the Aquatic Club located near the Lorne pier is a winner. The coffee is the best in Lorne dispensed by the accomplished barista, Jason. Its nice to finish a morning cycle without the crowds and a quality coffee or two. The vista and the company make this a pleasant morning ritual. Check it all.

Beautiful views & awesome prices
Jan 2017 • Couples
The views are beautiful and the prices are awesome - unlike the pubs and restaurants in Lorne the drink prices are almost 1/2 what you would pay elsewhere. Essentially a fishing club it's only a small place but it was well worth the walk from the Lorne beach to get a nice cold beer. We sat here for about 2 hours reading about the 50 years of history and taking in the views. We found it a great little place to socialize. They even had free bar snacks!

Walk along the beach/or along the beach to the Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club. Friendly little café with probably one of the best views you will get for a cup of coffee.

Quintessential Experience
Mar 2016 • Friends
A great little Aussie pub. No fuss, nothing glitzy just beer, wine soft drink with a great view and minimal fuss. Cheap pots at local prices just what everyone needs to experience. Great establishment that's true to its roots.

Meet the Locals
Jan 2016 • Couples
This establishment is the quintessential Australian experience in Lorne. Great atmosphere includes cold draught beer, wine and soft drinks with complimentary sandwiches and the mandatory meat/ seafood tray raffle. Its got the best view in town and now has the best coffee in town to help with the morning walk, jog or cycle. The bonus is meeting both the locals and weekenders over a drink. Don't miss their reverse Pier2Pub swim...you guessed it the Pub2Pier !! Well worth a visit.

Best view in Lorne!
Jun 2014 • Friends
We became members of this historic little local club to support the community as we are semi locals of this fishing village. It's $30 for a family yearly membership and you can come here on Friday or sat evening for a drink with one of the best views of Lorne, right next to the Pier overlooking Loutit bay and at night you see all the lights sparkling in the distance. The atmosphere is vibrant dinkum Aussie, you can see the local tradies mixing with the lawyers and doctors etc... Beers are $3 limited range, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc available. There's a raffle on sat night and you can win a meat tray! Cheap beers on tues and wed nights, "toss the boss" for a drink round (if you win the toss, free drinks) hahaha...in summer we walk down in the late afternoon after the beach and introduce our friends to this little gem. Plenty of parking in the fish coop car park. It's informal quintessential Australian and we love it!!

Pier to Club
Jan 2014 • Family
This is by far the best place to celebrate your Pier to Pub swim! It's the club with the best view in Lorne, fantastic atmosphere, cheapest drinks, BBQ and often a live band on the busier days. A terrific place to catch up with your friends. And there's even a courtesy bus home! We have spent many afternoons, stretching into the evenings, at this great venue. Can't believe it is under threat from a new foreshore development plan! The members and many guests do an amazing job fundraising for local clubs and worthy causes. Leave it where it is!
