Loved reading about the history of the lighthouse and lighthouse keeper (there is information on the island). Great photo opportunities for the family. A beautiful part of the world.

The lighthouse is closed with warning signs on the door so nothing to see or do really except taking photos. A good starting point for a walk around the island which is worth itif you enjoy fresh air and walking as we do.

The Griffith Island Lighthouse is still in operation after nearly 160 years. Walking around the island to the lighthouse is very relaxing and worth the 20-25 minute walk taking the shortest route from the car park. It offers good ocean views. It would be nice...More

offers an easy and a more strenuous path to the lighthouse, which I did both. Lovely old lighthouse, good ocean view and environment.

It's not a hard, nor long walk to get to it at all, with a natural kind of path to it. The area is very attractive for photos, and you can either keep on around the dunes, or turn back to the car park. Lovely...More

A pleasant, gentle 1.5km walk along the mole then sea shore past the Sheerwater Observation Platform brings you to an unremarkable lighthouse. The redeeming feature is some of the information boards describing the lives of the lighthouse keepers including one who lived there for about...More

Great lighthouse which can be walked to from Port Fairy. Lighthouse is on Griffiths Island and there is a circular path round the island. The lighthouse is right at the tip of the island and very picturesque. Great views from there.
