Walked around the island on a blustery winter day. Wear sturdy shoes as part of the walk involves a short stint across the beach and you need to climb over the rocks and seaweed.

The island is close to the town and offers a pleasant walk of approximately 3 km. To my untrained eye there wasn't anything particularly exciting to be seen. Just lovely views of ocean and coastline and the pretty little lighthouse. The walk is beautifully laid...More

We were staying near by, so planned an evening walk around the Island. It's a beautiful walk with much to be seen, during the walk I was lucky enough to spot my first kangaroo. A nice way to start an evening.

Intermittent rain and the odd suns rays were endured on our walk around the island. Scenery was wild but in summertime would be picture perfect. The Port beacon (light) is accessible by good paths if going direct from the car park. Well worth the walk.

A nice one hour long stroll around the island enjoying the many different habitats, animals- wallabies, birds, etc and the lighthouse. Good place to wander and take in the diverse coastal habitat of Griffiths Island, with its lighthouse and shearwater colony.
