The grounds are kept in immaculate condition and the stand was spotlessly clean. No sign of graffiti tags anywhere.

This oval is very special for a once-a-year event, the Stawell Gift. People come from all over the world for this large prize foot race.

The grandstand has been refurbished and is stunning. I walked up the steps and sat on the seat to look out over the oval. There are so many memorials to many people including Stawell Gift winners. I sat in a little garden with a sun...More

A great place to go for a run or do some steps on the grandstand! Nice gardens too for a casual stroll!

The garden and oval here were lovely, well-kept, and a pleasure to walk around. Nice old buildings surrounding the oval, nice for a stroll and short visit.

I am not sure if you will find a more beautiful historic oval anywhere than that of the Stawell Oval. So much history for one oval especially with the Stawell Gift Race held each Easter. The surrounding gardens are a delight. Credit to Stawell.
