We visited the Brig Amity during our stay in Albany. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ship gives a good view on how the life was on board during this time. The kids had a great time. Unfortunately the audio was just in English. A few other languages would be helpful.

The kids as well as us adults enjoyed every minute onboard the Amity. Perfect for a sunny day outing or a rainy day.

Great for all ages. The children loved climbing all over the boat learning as we went listening to the story and history about the boat and the people. Were they first landed

The Brig Amity is a replica of the ship used to bring convicts across from Sydney, and who subsequently began the first settlement in Albany in 1826 under Edmund Lockyer. There's little precise record of the original, so it isn't an exact copy, but is based on the correct overall dimensions, and based on what we know of the style... More

A great little piece of history allowing people of all ages to explore and experience what it was like for the shipmen back in the day. Being able to go all over the boat in every level with an audio guide really dove into the past. A lot of fun for all ages.

The Amity is a replica of the first vessel to colonise Western Australia. It is full size and can be walked on to show the cramped conditions the early convicts and settlers endured from the Eastern States.

This authentic reconstruction is a must-see. Three decks to view with an excellent audio commentary it brings alive the history of the men who came to settle Albany and how they managed. Highly reccommended

Not expensive at all! Just the price as much as a coffee! With a sense of the history of the convicts that came to Albany. With an idea of what life was on the Amity back in the day. Don't miss out on this site.!
