With the density of Tokyo Central and absolutely no parking available, there is no point visiting Hastings St. For us it was an exercise in frustration.

Pretty street with posh shops and pretentious people in sailor outfits buying Hawaiian shirts for $200 rather than $2 in lifeline. Bettie’s burgers and grilled now on the scene.

This is an attractive stretch of town with lots of lovely shops and eateries to keep your wallet empty. All worth it though, just for the pleasure of walking in the sun and enjoying the sea and the blue sky.
