You can feel the history

Very interesting but a bit depressing looking at this ruins feeling times from the past. Nice to see the renovated houses.

The site itself is an ugly behemoth - which says a lot about its planners. Unlike some abandoned buildings in Germany, this one really has no charm. If you are attending this place, I can recommends the documentation center. For 5 Euros (including .50 cent coffee voucher to nice the nice café located inside :)) you will get an explanation... An old military base, turned into a museum. What could be better? Cool building in the summer is very pleasant. Not bad cafe.

A must see just understand what crazy things a man can do. Besides the buildings they are currenly renovating, there is access here to a marvelleous beach.

This place is worth visiting. Do not miss the museum showing some history of the KdF Building (in German though) . The beach i front of the building is great. There are very nice apartments for renting.

There is construction work everywhere, rebuilding the "ruins" into luxury appartments and hotels. I liked the museum, but there is no red thread and a lot of rubbish. But there are gems too. Find them!

It is very interesting to see the architecture, but it looks like it will not be preserved for much longer. Many of the blocks have already been torn down or converted to luxury apartments. Skip the KulturKunst "musuem" and its terrible cafe, but right after that building there is the path to public beach access. The wide sandy beach was... More

If you compare the new site next to the old there is a obviously some change in finish. But if you think about the things that it planed to solve I think I prefere the old one. It was meant for a broader public. The new site is obviously going to be a lot more expensive... Even the beach is... More

Arrived on International Museum Day and got free entrance to the DokumentationZentrum. The video was in-depth and very interesting. Learned a lot of information, as it had English subtitles. The building is so large, it covers over 2 miles of the beachfront. There are a few other museums on location, but did not check those out. There is also a... More

Prora is an interesting place filled with nazi history and different attractions. This museum would have been great if it wasn't the fact in german only! If you can read/speak german then go here otherwise just skip it you won't get anything out from it.But at least it's cheap only 6 euro
