Beatiful square
Aug 2020 • Family
As many of other villages in Umbria the main square is the centre of the village. It is very well preserved and it is easy to imagine the life centuries ago.

Magnificent village
Jun 2019 • Friends
One of the many spectacular villages scattered throughout Umbria. Its ancient architecture, cobbled streets and medieval buildings, are amazing.
I strongly recommend you stop by this beautiful village. Don't visit just the main and most famous sites.

Lovely, big, clean, open piazza
May 2019 • Couples
It's quite clear that Umbrians love, and are proud of, their open spaces. This piazza has an off-centre fountain. On the daythat we visited, there were school children sitting around it drawing the old surrounding buildings. The town's Roman history dating back to the 7th century can be seen throughout the town.

Centre of town
Jul 2018
Piazza Silverstri is the centre of Bevagna. The square is similar to many small town squares in Italy. It is pleasant to walk across it and go into one of the streets there in search for nice shops with local goods and restaurants.

Quiet and beautiful
Sep 2018 • Couples
Bevagna was very quiet late September which was great as far as we were concerned. Everything felt more charming and more historic without what we suspect would be big summer crowds. Lovely

Almost a film set!
Jul 2018 • Couples
The central square in Bevagna is genuinely historic, but when we were there it was in fact being prepared as a film set, with all modern elements hidden by special constructions. The tourist office is in the square, as are the two fine churches: St Michael the Archangel and San Silvestro. If you can get into it, the Teatro Torti (in the palace above the tourist office) is charming. There's not a lot on there, but we went to a concert which was only advertised a day before the event, so the audience was regrettably small, but it was well worth seeing.

Tour 2 Spello-BEVAGNA-Montefalco_Spoleto-Trevi-Spello
Apr 2018 • Couples
Bevagna: If you are by car, there is spacious parking lot near “Porta Todi” in the direction of Montefalco. This Porta is more an elegant stone bridge integrated in the Roman walls that surround a splendid Bevagna. Continue to the Central Piazza San Silvestro where are situated the Chiesa San Michele Arcangelo, an amazing Chiesa San Silvestro, Palazzo dei Console and Chiesa SS Domenico and Giacomo. On the right side of the Chiesa San Silvestro there is an curious entrance which leads in a mystic way to the Roman Walls.

Do not forget to vist the Roman theatre near la Chiesa San Francesco. It is difficult to find, because buildings are constructed over it, but it’s worthwhile if you find a tourist guide to open the doors of the theater.

In Bevagna we had eaten a delicious pane con lonzo So we decided to do the shopping for Easter and we went to the same macelleria as where we bought the pane con Lonzo. We. bought a delicious Lonzo without preservatives, but it was a little bit salty, it still is.

After that we visited Montefalco, but we did not see the vineyards.

Peaceful and quaint..
Jul 2017 • Friends
We stopped into Bevagna before moving on to a local vineyard for wine tasting. It was a quiet day there and this little piazza shined. It was clean but filled with great charachter with all the streets leading to and from it.
