Located between Montapulciano and Montalcino, we have been renting the house called Sarageto for the month of June for many years. We look at other properties but nothing comes close to the atmosphere, location and beauty of Lucignano d'Asso. It is rustic and private and...More

We are staying here in one of the rental apartments. We were last here 14 years ago. At that time, the husband and wife were working in the store. Once we returned from sightseeing on a Sun. to find him playing an accordion and people...More

Found this place as top attraction near San Giovanni D'Asso. Its basically a tiny little hamlet with great views of the valley. The main highlight though is the one 'alimentari' hidden away with outdoor and indoor dining areas ran by a very old friendly lady...More

Sleepy little hamlet with beautiful views of the Val d'Orcia. The Alimentari is runned by a lovely Nona named Rita with delicious light bites, wine and such. My kids loved going on their own to by ice cream and taking in the view.

Peaceful and beautiful. We walked here from our agritourismo. Nice walk among rolling hills and a wonderful town. No stores or restaurants that we saw but we also came in December.

We've visited this hamlet/village a couple of times over the past few years and it is simply a wonderful experience. It's a sleepy collection of houses surrounded by beatiful farmland, as peacefully quiet as any place can be. The attraction here is the alimentari (store...More

We went to find the Alimentari Giannetti in the village and we were not disappointed either from the remoteness or the food. I had a diverse range of pecorino cheeses that were outstanding and my wife a platter of meats. She said it was great....More

This village is divine. It dates from the 14th century and is very well preserved. It has a small charming shop which serves cold lunches. It is at the end of a white road and surrounded by fields in every direction. There is lovely walking...More
