Elsie is the perfect host with which to spend the day in the Algarve. After talking with us, she curated day perfectly, and took us to extraordinary places that we would not have found on our own, all the while helping us learn about this amazing area. When we return, we will definitely go on another adventure with Wow Algarve

Our boat tour of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Portugal. Paulo was the perfect captain/host of our trip. Great communication to help us plan (and know where to meet him). The boat was in tip top condition and so comfortable. Paulo brought along some nice treats (and wine) to make the trip even better. We learned a lot from him about the region, the people, the ocean and the customs. He gave us some time to walk on a deserted beach as well as taking us to a small community so that we could really understand life there. A very appreciated bonus was that he brought along his DSLR and sent us all the photos of our adventure!!

Incredibly talented and experienced captain who is enthusiastic about sharing his own journey to Portugal as well as the beautiful coastal region, He will pleasantly show you the wildlife, historical buildings and unusual cave formations. He has a perspective of the historical development of the area as well as the local cuisine and even hikes you should do once you disembark. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Also for the American traveler he speaks perfect English.

We had a great experience with Paulo and his team. It was the highlight of our trip to Algarve. It was a relaxed but very informative and fun day. It started with a great boat ride through the oyster farms, experienced the local cuisine and ended with a great tour along the coast and views of the caves. From the beginning, Paulo created a very familial atmosphere, both with us but also his staff and it was clear they really enjoyed working for Paulo. I wish we had more time and additional days to spend with Paulo and his team - highly recommend!

We had a fantastic day, touring the Algarve Coast with Paulo, the owner and captain of the vessel. We viewed the beautiful cliffs along the coast, the beaches, and the varied and wonderful rock formations. It was a perfect day!
The scenery was extraordinary for the entire trip. It was a pleasure to have a small boat to ourselves and not be packed into one of the larger tour boats. Paulo had a wealth of knowledge and lore, which added to our enjoyment. After a swim, our day ended in a small port town, where we had an excellent lunch (our cost) of simply grilled fish and local wine.
Now for some of the technical issues. First, Paulo owns the boat, so it was spotless and well-maintained. Second, there were adequate life preservers on hand, all in clear view, and Paulo showed us how to use them before setting out. Third, whiler the primary boat is an open boat wiithout bathroom facilities, Paulo scheduled a stop party-way through the trip at a marina without full facilities. Fourth, when the winds were scheduled to pick up on the day of our trip. Paulo moved his boat so that we could travel with the wind, rather than against it, making the trip much more comfortable. Fifth, Paulo provided us with snacks and a bottle of wine -- I should note that there were only two glasses for us, and Paulo did not drink while on duty. Sixth, for our trip, AlgarveWOW picked us up at our hotel and then returned us to the hotel at the end of the day. Finally, and not a small point, Paulo had Dramamine on hand!
We highly recommend this trip.

We spent a perfect day with our family and friends ! We did an all day trip on a magic sailing boat. Everybody enjoyed the day.
All was perfectly organized. Paulo and his team were really friendly and professional.

I would highly recommend Paolo and his team to anyone. There was no better way for us to see the beauty of the Algarve, and most importantly, we all really enjoyed being with Paulo, Sara and David.
Since our vacation was booked by a travel agency, we had no expectations in advance.
Here's how the day went...
We were picked up at our hotel promptly at 930 am as planned and driven in a very clean, spacious van to the port by David and Sara. Paulo was waiting with a beautiful 22 foot boat with plenty of room to move around. We then embarked on an all day tour where we saw beautiful beaches (many were only accessible by boat), caves, wildlife and had an elegant lunch at a tiny fishing village on an island. On the way, we enjoyed refreshments including fruit, sandwiches, cookies and wine. Paulo was incredibly knowledgeable, having spent his entire life since 8 yrs old living in the Algarve. At the end of the day, we were driven back to our hotel around 630 pm, so there was no time wasted having to circle back to the original port.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Paulo and Wow to anyone visiting the Algarve!!!

Having just got married in Portugal I was looking for something special to do on our final day! I contacted Paulo and booked an afternoon with him. Didn't really know what to expect but WOW- we had such an amazing afternoon and it ended our special week in spectacular form. Paulo and Nadja were amazing hosts and so knowledgable. We were given the most amazing tour of the islands and loved every minute. They're knowledge of the islands and the wildlife is incredible. It's a trip we will never ever forget and look forward to booking with them again on our return.

Paulo took us this year to Ria Formosa. We started with the annual sofa ride which was great fun. Then we went to the islands and with him giving us the history of each town it was really interesting. We then had the freshest and juicy oysters ive ever had. The kids had never had oysters really however they all luved them. Then lunch at an amazing back street restaurant - sardines, anchivy fish, seabass and clams - all very fresh and so reasonably priced!
Another great trip and we already know what trip we will do next year...
These trips are not only great fun however the added bonus is the local history knowledge which is great

This was hands down our most fun, relaxing and enjoyable day in Portugal! We had an incredible tour of the Ria Formosa with Paulo and Nadja! Their extensive knowledge of the area and professionalism made for the perfect day! We were a family of 6 with a small child and they made everything smooth and easy. The fishing villages they took us to were immensely charming and the stop we made for lunch was our best meal of the entire trip! It was nice being able to see a more authentic side of the algarve that we definitely would not have been able to see on our own. Our tour exceeded every expectation that we had and we would definitely do another excursion with them if we are ever back in the area.
