About
Algarve Tennis and Fitness Club is a tennis and sports holiday centre in Portugal. The club features 2 acrylic hard courts, 2 artificial grass courts, a synthetic clay court and 3 state-of-the-art Padel tennis courts. There are more than 20 other sport and treatment options to enjoy throughout the year, including a swimming pool with swimming classes; fitness classes, holistic classes, oriental massages & treatments, 2 petanque courts and a footgolf course. There is also a shop selling the latest in sports fashion and a poolside restaurant that serves up fantastic dishes throughout the day.

Whilst we were on holiday my 15 year old son had tennis lessons at the Club which were excellent.Victor proved to be a very good and fully committed coach. Facilities very good at this friendly and welcoming Club.

My husband and I spent the winter in Vale do Lobo and had a fantastic time playing tennis at ATF almost every day. It is a extremely well run club, with a great atmosphere. We were particularly impressed with the excellent facilities on offer, as well as the very efficient, friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed participating in the many roll-ups organised each week, which catered for all levels of experience, as well as fun, social tournaments. They also arranged singles matches for my husband with regular members of the club who were of similar ability. We also took part in group coaching. These sessions were extremely good value for money and were run by excellent, enthusiastic coaches. The club also offers padel tennis, table-tennis, footgolf, cardio tennis and a variety of other sports and fitness classes. With a pool, a snack bar offering delicious hot and cold food, and a sports shop too, all set in beautiful surroundings, we highly recommend this club to anyone looking for healthy, fun activities.

Our Group from White Hall Bowling Club, Westcliff-on-Sea, England enjoyed another fantastic time at this first class sports centre in Almancil, Algarve. This being our third visit to have fun being coached into the sport of Petanque. You can also play and be coached into the sport of Tennis - Paddle Tennis - Petanque - Table Tennis and many other activities including WALKING GOLF. Phone or just visit to book a time to keep fit whilst on holiday. Relax afterwards at the onsite Café serving hot and cold food and drinks. Excellent sports shop to meet your needs. Want to have fun whatever your age then visit this Sports Centre. Great training courses for children by qualified coaches. . Have fun as we do at this friendly centre making new friends and keeping fit. Put fun and fitness into your lives. We do just that by having happy days playing sport in the sun!! Keep playing sport when you get home our group play "PlayBowls4Fun" and now have a Petanque Rink thanks to the coaching and fun we received at the ATF Centre.

I went on tennis holidays this September and was completely overwhelmed with a great time I have had there. The team is fantastic and friendly. If you are looking for a nice tennis holidays and for a great tennis coach than this is a place to visit.

I arrived in the Algarve a week ago with my husband and three children- ages 6, 13 and 17. I had heard of ATF from a friend and since all my children are very into sports, we decided to check it out. The staff are incredibly helpful and organised programmes for us and the kids. My husband and I took part in a tennis cardio session while the kids were split into different groups for tennis lessons. The coaches were excellent, very actively engaged in trying to help improve our "tennis game". We also received a tutorial in the game of padel tennis, which we had never heard of before, and we had the chance to dip into the swimming pool afterwards to cool off. Hopefully next time we can have a go at the footgolf which looked very fun!
Overall a great, family-friendly club and we were very pleased.

I had to give up on my tennis pleasures...Nasty skiing injuries...But that doesn't mean I should be deprived of the courts' atmosphere, their physically challenging but also meditative qualities...And Katya's cooking which accommodate both veggie and non-veggie fans of healthy cuisine. Her variations on Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Greek and other less definable cuisines are always tasteful and memorable. And banana pancakes with homemade jam launch perfectly my weekend routines. And the place is like home...Within a week everybody on the stuff knows your idiosyncrasies, however burdensome, and learns to respect them. Great hangout...

The club proposed us a multiple-choice sport equipments and we could enjoy a well organized training. We appreciated the programme for children as well! Great and charming staff, clean rooms and fresh swimming pool :)! High recommendation!

We've been in Algarve several times and we never missed to visit some of the local tennis clubs. But this was definitely the best experience we've had. The place is nice, clean, well equipped and the personal!! What a nice people working there! Special thank to nice Czech girl Hanna.. But all of them are just great. We will be definitely back.

We have heard about the new FOOTGOLF COURSE "Desert Pines". Is it easy to play, what is it about and what do we wear?

YES, it is easy to play, in fact everybody can play it and it is loads of fun! You basically play through a golf course but instead of hitting a small ball with a club, you kick a real football around and into the holes. Best foot-wear is a pair of trainers. Football boots are not allowed and please do not wear sandals and flip-flops for your own good. Come give it a go!

You do not need to stay on site, there are quite a few hotels nearby within 5 min drive. We also do holiday lets, so if you want us to quote for accommodation in an apartment, townhouse or villa, please let us know.

YES, we offer fitness memberships as a seperate membership or in combination with tennis/padel. You can also take part in the fitness classes on pay-as-you-go basis. If you use the fitness classes twice a week or more, it is advantageous to take a membership.

YES, we always run a list of players, who are interested in ad hoc games. Just call in advance and we set up a game for you.

Do you arrange social tennis and padel sessions? We play already both padel tennis and tennis and would like to meet other people doing the same.

ATF is a great place to meet people. On a daily basis we have social events on both padel and tennis. Just contact the club and let us know what you would like to play and when and we will direct you further. You can also see our time table for social tennis/padel on-line on our website.

Can I get a membership for only a part of the year? We only come to algarve 3-4 months a year?
YES, apart from the annual memberships, ATF offers seasonal memberships.
