It's not an area that many people visit as it's south of the mountains and not directly on the Camino de Compostela, but it is very beautiful, very clean and whether it be the lake or the village of Sanabria it's well worth the visit.

You can't miss this wonderful place. It is a must in the zamora's to-do list. Enjoy a drink in the chiringuitos, go for a walk, rent a boat, eat well, and wear sun screen!

Beautiful lake. One of the nicest I have ever visited. He is surrounded by mountains, trees and nature.

A great place for camping, walk or simply relax for a few days. I only visit it during summer, but I believe winter could be even better.

We travelled from Braganca (Portugal) - about an hour's drive - and were taken aback by the beauty of the lake and surrounding landscape. If you're in the vicinity (Spain or Portugal) you won't regret a visit; and make a day of it with a picnic - even better.

Nice place to walk in the nature. Some spots have stunning views! I strongly recomend a visit to "Laguna de los Peces".

Deserves a visit: The lake itself, and the several beaches. The mountain views. Ribadelago Nuevo, as a new town built in the 60s, after the accident with the Dam

Very nice place to stay. Only rather crowdy, we expect it to be more quiet. Although really worthwhile to visit. Lovely swimming water. Our trip back to Spain through Portugal was splendid. Highly recommended

Great water in a beautiful setting. Great place for families. Besides swimming you can hire a paddle boat or a canoe.

The lake is awesome, the nature and wildlife incredible. You can also do some hiking to discover smaller natural lakes.
