Having been to almost 40 cities, town and villages in a month long trip through Spain, Zamora’s Plaza Mayor rates as only average. There are many much more beautiful, magnificent and spectacular Plaza Mayors in Spain. In fact one of the other Plazas in Zamora,...More

Nice square with plenty of cafes/restaurants (and the local police station). Near the Parador and all the shops. I had a very pleasant 3 course menu del dia here for €13, which included a bottle of wine.

Unfortunately seen so many so much more decorative & interesting. The parked Police cars a definite negative & the clock is wrong LOL. We thought the Parador Plaza more attractive.

We liked everything in/about Zamora! There are many bars in The Major Square, but mostly the tourists. If you want to get real good and cheap tappas with drink you have to go a bit further from it.

The fiesta in Zamora is great! Ceramics, pottery, and art glass were beautiful and affordable. We bought a beautiful ceramic clock. There was traditional Spanish bagpipes and regional folk dances. Few tourists so the locals were very welcoming.

The Plaza Mayor in Zamora is nice but not on the same scale as the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca, which is stunning ! We sat at one of the bars for a quiet evening drink and kept getting hassled by beggars, which spoilt our evening.

the plaza Mayor is like so many others. Great place to people watch while having a drink and eating tapas. Very few tourists.

Just lovely, the atmosphere, all the nice terraces, the easy way to get there. Pity of the police cars being parked outside the police office, which is also on the square. Sort of spoils the majic.

Lovely setting for the sun down drink. Watch the people go by and have some tapas.. Spent a lovely spring evening with a glass of wine listening to the locals and enjoying the sun. Good eating nearby .

Lovely building surround this square and it is particularly attractive at night when all the building are illuminated. There are numerous outside bars and restaurants located in the square to choose from. A lovely centre to a delightful city.

The Plaza Mayor is a nice open space in the centre of the “Old Town of Zamora” and as we were into the Ares Hotel, it is only a 2 minutes’ walk from the hotel. In the middle of the place you have the “Church...More
