We went to see the snowdrops as we have in previous years. A mile walk through the woods (or less if you prefer), beautiful, but I am writing about the friendly staff.
We has a meal in the "Courtyard Kitchen" which was delicious. The staff were so friendly, pausing to chat and interested in us. My wife left her hat behind! They responded to my email and quickly found it. We went back to collect it later and even though they were extremely busy serving lunch, a member of the kitchen staff went to get it for us without any moans about being busy.
So nice to go to a friendly place, and the snowdrops as well! They also allow people in to see the bluebells in May.

Rode Hall is brilliant. If you visit first Saturday of the month there is an excellent farners market to wander around as well as the garden. Good eating available using local produce. The Lady of the Manor makes preserves which are available to buy and they are delicious indeed.
There are different garden events through the year. Including a family festival. We'll worth making the time to visit.

Found this place easily, it was well signed. Did the tour. The staff were great, very knowledgeable. The house is beautiful and still lived in. The porcelain collection was amazing and some of the furniture, particularly the tables, are beautiful too. There’s a very nice cafe, the food was excellent. Staff were lovely, very friendly. Bonus is that the ending of Peaky Blinders was filmed here! Well worth a visit.

Called in after seeing roadside advertising. Payed to get in, a little pricy for what you get. At payment requested disabled parking which is available at the house. Found that area to tearoom and toilets is very challenging for wheelchairs and or mobility scooter and crutches, but area around to gardens is really a no no if you are in a whee.chair,on a mobility buggy or indeed really dependant on crutches. When we had a drink and piece of cake, a little over priced, we headed for garden area but quickly realised it was impossible for my wife who has to use a mobility scooter to cover distance of modest length, so we cut our losses and left for home. When we requested disability parking it should have been made perfectly clear that it would not do for us, and there should be details at the gate to that effect instead feel we were conned out of our money.

Visited Rode Hall today with my small dog. When I arrived my dog decided to do a poo, I bagged it up but couldn't find a dog bin. I asked a member of staff who was selling food to take out about a poo bin, he told me there were none and I have to take it home. I said I have been before and I am sure there were bins then. He then said again there are no dog bins as they have no way of disposing of it and I have to take it home. I informed him that we had just paid £12 to come in and were not very impressed, there were loads of dogs there. Some kind dog owners pointed us in the direction of a bin, we were not impressed at the rudeness of the man, it will be a long time before we return. The gardens were lovely though.

Snow Drop Walk - Average - nothing spectacular - certainly disappoint with the £6 entrance fee. Thought the art exhibits we quite good. Thought the hall and buildings drab and unloved!!

Pleasant guided tour of the hall to see lots of porcelain and lots of unique furniture designed and made by Gillows of Lancaster.
Unfortunately as house still lived in Wilbraham family no internal photos allowed.
Guide was reasonably knowledgeable but tended to over emphasise the family paintings.
Gardens were quite nice and large with a reasonable amount of colour. The 2 acre walled kitchen garden was nice in places but needed a lot of TLC that could make it outstanding.

On a rainy day this was well worth the visit to the snowdrops walk. Visited from warrington. Had lunch in the cafe which was lovely, although busy we found a table. Staff very friendly, and quick service. Only comment is I think the table of condiments and cutlery is in the wrong place, awkward at the till. Maybe an upstand at the end of the counter, trays wouldn't need to be on the floor then.

Visited for the snow drop walk and had a nice but rather chilly day with friends walking through the snowdrops and daffodils. The venue was very busy when we attended so we were unable to visit the on site tea room. We will probably make a return visit in the summer months when we can see the grounds in their full glory.
