I don't have a lot of money (or the time) to go to the great castles of Europe, so I must make due with American castles (for now). My first American castle experience, Squire's Castle is certainly a great first impression. Firstly, it's very picturesque....More

From what I read, I thought I would have to hike to get to the castle but nope. Parking right in front of the castle. Easy to get to. A great place to do a photo shoot.

Found this on a list of things to do near Mentor and were glad we did. Great stop to check out the Castle and the surrounding grounds were great. It would be a great spot for a picnic or a hike. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Great picnic spot on the east side. It is free and it is a dog friendly spot in Cleveland Ohio on THE EAST SIDE. A very neat stop in the East Side

The Metro Park system is one of Cleveland's treasures. It really is an emerald necklace around the city. Here on the East Side it this silly little castle in the middle of a big park with lots of picnic areas and ball fields.

As a child, our family would often visit the Cleveland Metroparks and Squires Castle. Now many, many years later I revisited and was pleasantly surprised. Squires Castle has been lovingly restored and cleaned up from the more derelict and dirty condition it had been in...More

Combined a visit to the castle along with enjoying the bike paths in the area. The castle was just a 5-10 minute walk through, the grounds are well maintained and inviting for a picnic.

Yes, of course you can go inside. There aren't many rooms and there are stairs to go inside, but the whole structure is open and there aren't any doors.
