    A fabulous experience!
What a truly amazing experience. My friend and I really didn't know what to expect and we had a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Georgia was so friendly, supportive, encouraging and highly professional. It was fun, low key and with Georgia & Abbie's help, we all manage a good effort of a paperweight and a bauble. Just can't wait to receive them in the post next week when they have cooled down! Would highly recommend this activity to anyone wanting a new and 'different' experience. You get so much help, anyone can do it!!

Perfect introduction to a variety of glass making techniques- opportunity to make and keep useful/decorative glass items
I went to the Spring School five day glass making course which covers a variety of techniques including blowing glass in the hotshop, lamp working (beads and small items like pumpkins and mushrooms), fused glass and mould making, plus sand cast glass. What a week!, it was full on with a small group and a number of excellent instructors who admirably handled the differing skill sets of the individual, giving as much or little help as was required for a successful outcome. The instructors are truly professional and at the same time friendly and encouraging, they want positive outcomes and will go the extra mile to ensure that everyone has a sense of achievement and lovely items to take away. The cost of the course initially looked large, but when I had seen what was included and the generous staff to participant ratios, I realised that it was excellent value. I shall definitely be returning and the group I was with were really pleasant and inclusive, everyone wanted all the others to succeed. What a lovely kind atmosphere. Thanks so much to everyone involved.

    Give it a go - it’s amazing!
The most fabulous experience! I was given this as a gift and was curious. The staff were friendly, helpful, patient and really great teachers. Abbie guided my group gently through the process of making a paperweight, bauble and vase/carafe over the course of the day, with just the right amount of help and advice so you really felt you had made the items. Can’t wait to see the finished article - which had to stay behind to cool down slowly. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

We booked the two day glassblowing weekend as a wedding anniversary celebration. Our instructor, Rosie, was FANTASTIC, and really made our weekend. She demonstrated each piece before we made our own and her instructions were so good that we had no trouble making an array of beautiful things.

On our first day we made a galaxy paperweight, a bauble and a vase plus some clear glass caterpillars and roses to practice technique. Neither my husband nor I had ever blown glass before, but with Rosie we were in safe hands. We left our first day buzzing, and spent all evening talking about what we’d learned.

Day two was brilliant - it was just the two of us under Rosie’s tutelage so we had free rein on what to make. Tumblers, bowls, wine decanters with blown glass stoppers - we felt confident to try new designs and we were “Blown Away” by our finished products!
Rosie, and the Glass Hub, are the perfect friendly intro to the art of glassblowing and now that we’ve caught the bug we’ll definitely be back for more. Thank you so much for a fabulous weekend. See you again soon!

We were 'Blown Away' with our one day course which introduced us to the intricacies of glass blowing. The Glass Hub's team (Amy, Bailey & Sacha) were so friendly but a special shout out to our Tutor, Bailey... his knowledge, passion and patience were all exemplary.

As other reviews state, you make three items over the day and get to pick it up once it has cooled 24 hours later (or have it sent to you at an extra cost). We can't wait to see the fruits of our labour and would thoroughly recommend this experience.

What a fantastic day. We had booked this and then lockdown came so we’ve been waiting a while. It outperformed our expectations. First of all it was all very safe. We learnt a lot and produced way more than we expected and the pickies show how much better as well

What a fabulous day. We got to learn so much, work with hot glass and create wonderful pieces that will become family treasures.

Many thanks to our wonderful tutor, Bailey. So patient. Great coaching. Quickly spotting mistakes and setting you back on track. Lovely guy. And many thanks to his assistant, Heather. Equally patient and great company.

Unlike some courses where you don’t really make the final piece you take home, we got to make a paperweight, a bauble, a vase and a tiny ‘duck’ (?). They are all in the annealer at the minute, so ‘no idea’ exactly how they will look - but soooo looking forward to seeing the final pieces, just based on the way these pieces looked before they went in.

This might feel like a pricey treat, yet you really get every penny’s worth of value out of a great experience.

I was given this as a surprise birthday present - and what an excellent surprise it was. I have always been interested in glass-blowing and cannot speak highly enough of this experience. A massive thank you to Bailey and the whole team!

My husband and I did the full day glassblowing in January this year. We were in a group with two lovely, fun guys and we all had a good laugh. Bailey is a very chilled, friendly tutor and he has lots of patience (came in handy with me!).
We watched as he demonstrated the process and each took it in turns to make a paperweight, a bauble and a vase. He gave as much or as little help as we needed and you are never left alone, he is beside you at all times ready to help/advise
The Glass Hub has a few different rooms, one for glassblowing and others for other types of glass classes. There are loos just outside and a kitchen where we sat and had drinks and lunch together. Parking is pretty much on the doorstep.
We had our pieces delivered and they arrived quickly and in one piece!
Would definitely recommend.

Just had a fantastic day at the Glass Hub. Very warm welcome from Sacha and Rosie, who were welcoming and very professional. Sacha was a great tutor who helped our group of 4 make really wonderful glassware - a paperweight, Christmas tree bauble and vase which can be taken home once they are ready. Sacha was patient and encouraging, and explained the glass blowing process as the day went along. Excellent equipment and beautiful surroundings outside. Highly recommended. We all learned a lot and had a great time.
