Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful spot. Well worth a visit. Water is cold even on the hottest days, but amazingly refreshing. It’s a short walk from the car park so do t take more stuff than you need. It’s also definitely worth taking shoes that can be worn into the water as the shale was hard for the kids to get across. Lovely setting - made all the more pleasant by a total lack of commercialism. ((No stalls or shops, bars or restaurants- just some caves and stunning bathing pools!)

Sadly, I think it is no longer there / accessible. I found a padlocked fence around the area with no signs of life or water.

Great place to cool off after a hot day visiting Ronda!
It was busy when we arrived and had to wait a short time for people to leave, luckily it was about 6.30pm so people were leaving.
The water was freezing and not many people were actually swimming, apart from my hardy family

Went here on a hot day after visiting Ronda. Temperatures were 38 C. Already when getting close to the pool we felt the cooling of the water.

We paid a small fee to get in but it also had two life guards and they even checked if had a fever (during COVID-19).

The water is 15 C all year round and on a hot day like this the water felt very very cold and everyone trying to get under made a loud gasp. But it was very refreshing and very very beautiful.

Only problem was a young crowd playing very loud music. This should not be allowed on a beautiful nature place like this.

The place is poorly marked and not offering much. Just a cave with "danger" signs and some super cold and blue water

Worth a small detour from Ronda! Cave is closed for normal visitors, but the small river is so picturesque and inviting for a swim. There was no entrance fee in October - perhaps because the bridge over river is damaged. But it is easy to walk across over the rocks.

We went for a couple of hours, there were signs towards the cave saying ‘authorised personnel only’ but everyone was ignoring the signs and accessing the cave anyway. The water was very cold but it’s a beautiful spot, worth a visit but it’s not an all day experience. I’ve read other reviews that said they charge for parking and access to the cave but no one was there to charge us for anything.

Car park was €1. Entrance to cave/pool area was €2 per adult (slightly cheaper for children). We went on 21st August and the cave was shut. It is generally a nice little area with lots of locals. The water is very, very cold, so probably the best temperature is at high sun/early afternoon as the swimming area is partly shaded, and in the evenings the sun goes behind the mountains. There is a smaller, less pretty area for small children to paddle in, which is upstream and warmer. There is a single portaloo before you get to the entrance (just as you enter the bottom car park). Quite rocky so would suggest bringing water shoes.

Spent the day in Ronda and ended up exploring La Cueva del Gato. Be prepared for an ice cold dip- which was welcomed after a visit to Ronda in 41 degree heat! Pretty natural river pool but very busy. If your near by , I’d say it’s worth a trip!

It's a beautiful place for a visit, very close to Ronda, a nature reserved with swimming option. One can arrive with car or with a train. It is also possible to make a hike - walking from Ronda it's about 14 km and beautiful walk, also walking from the train station, it is about 4 km.
If you come with your car don't leave anything in as there are people that will break your car! It just happened yesterday to a friend of us! Be careful!
