We took a day longer to get across travelling west, this allowed us to take many side trips to the coast and inland and enjoy a variaety of views, wildlife and history. It did add about $250 to the journey (extra accom, fuel and meals)...More
Wonderful experience to see southern right whales up close - and further away as well, many mothers with young. The most beautiful views with spectacular coastal cliffs. The area closes by 4.30 so it is worth getting there early.
