We travelled via train from the main train station in Prague to Cesky Krumlov for about 340CK return per person. We bought tickets at the station from the domestic ticket office, but they can be bought on line. Even though it's just less than 200km away, the trains are not the super fast trains available in many other European countries,... More

Great little place! In the lead up to our visit we agonised for a considerable time about whether to stay overnight or make it a day trip. In the end we decided on a 4 hour stop over on our way to Vienna. We didn't join a guided tour and didn't feel we needed to as our map had all... More

Exploring the narrow cobblestone streets to see the huge variety of colorful, historical buildings is the best things to do here.

We are a family of six adults and greatly enjoyed walking around the medieval streets, enjoying the views and the river.

There are lots of shops and little restaurants in a very small area. It's somewhat confusing walking around, but you can't get lost as the area is surrounded by the river. Enjoy!

When planning a trip through Bavaria and Prague we added this town to our itinerary and spent three nights here not knowing much about it. What a great surprise. The Old Town is fantastic and by chance we were there for the May Day celebration activities. The town has much to offer for sight seeing, small shop shopping, eating and... More

I love walking around in old medieval cities and Cesky Krumlov is offering exactly this experience. Leave all stress behind and just enjoy the beauty around you Why not 5 stars? Only because I like some jewels more, e.g. Riquewihr, Eze, Banska Stiavnica, St. Gimiano...
