Met another Australian on this walking tour, brought together many people from different countries. A nice short walk, through Cesky Krumlov and the guide was able to tell us many historical important bits of information.
Excellent tour of castle. Good history commentary from our guide, Rosta. Bus driver picked us up from hotel and provided a safe & comfortable journey. Would definitely recommend this tour. The old town is beautiful and worth the trip.

I am not sure if I understand your question. If the question is about taking a one-day tour bus from Prague or Linz, I cannot answer that question from experience. We did not take a guided tour bus. My wife and I travel on our own and plan our own tour. Thus, we took a bus from Linz, Austria called Flexibus for US $ 9.98 per person to reach C. Krumlov. We made our own hotel reservation at Hotel Kovince (a great hotel), stayed overnight and visited various places on our own. Then, we took a shuttle (a 6 passenger van by CK Shuttle) to Prague for $ 43 per person.
During our stay in C. Krumlov, we visited the Tourist Information in the main square. They informed us about a "free" walking tour that took place twice a day. The tour is not really free because most people give some money to the guide at the end but there is no mandatory amount. Our guide, Hanza did a great job.We gave him 200 CK (about US $ 10). Hanza was very informative, amusing and answered all our questions. In the evening, when day-trip tourists left the town, it was wonderful. Since we stayed at a hotel overnight, we were able to take walks on the banks of the river, try different restaurants and cafes, talk to local people.
Hope I have answered your question. If not, please ask the question again and clarify.
I suggest checking with Tourist Information in the main square. On the day of our visit, the times were 10:30 AM and 14:30 (2:30 PM). However, I would make sure on the day of your visit, the time is the same.
Anyone can join the "free" walking tour. The times are available at the Tourist Information in the Main Square. On the day of our visit, the times were 10:30 and 14:30. We joined the 10:30 AM tour. It is not really free... More
Anyone can join the "free" walking tour. The times are available at the Tourist Information in the Main Square. On the day of our visit, the times were 10:30 and 14:30. We joined the 10:30 AM tour. It is not really free because the guides would like to be paid something but there is no mandatory amount. It is very good. No reservations are needed; just find out when the tour will be held from TI and look for the guy with the umbrella; I think the umbrella was red but the TI will tell you.
